1. Can I have any changes made to a boat being built for me? YES - Newfoundland and Labrador boat builders have traditionally built boats on a semi-custom or custom build basis. Customers are encouraged to have input into the boat they want, especially for the general arrangements and choice of power options, electronics, communications and navigational instrument preferences. ▲ Back to top 2. Newfoundland and Labrador boat builders have a long history of building boats that operate in one of the world's harshest ocean environments. Will I have any problems in having my boat delivered to me? Newfoundland and Labrador has several options available for national and international transportation connections. Direct regularly scheduled ocean shipping is available to St. Lawrence Seaway ports in central US and Canada, to several US eastern seaboard destinations, and to destinations to northern Europe and elsewhere in the world. Truck transportation is available throughout North America, and depending on the owner, the delivery of the boat on it's "own bottom" is also an option. ▲ Back to top 4. How long will I have to wait for delivery of the boat? Delivery is dependant upon several factors, including the size and type of boat being built and the current "order book" status of the builder. Quality in terms of materials and in workmanship is extremely important. Materials and building methods must be of a standard that will ensure safety and reliability at sea. All equipment will have warranties which can be handled through international dealer networks.
